CastMetrix Introduces a New Technology for Radio Stations to Distribute and Monetize New Media Content
CastMetrix LLC today announced the availability of the Radio Edition of its New Media Platform. The Radio Edition is designed for terrestrial radio stations to deliver and monetize their current and archived shows through podcasts and vidcasts on the internet.
The CastMetrix Radio Edition of the New Media Platform enables radio stations to distribute and monetize their radio shows and broadcasting assets on the Internet. The core of the Radio Edition is a workflow tailored for terrestrial radio stations, which includes online tools for publishing radio shows, and managing real time ad-campaigns on current and archived show content. The platform includes a real-time ad insertion engine, which mixes the advertisements with the show content dynamically at download time. This enables new advertisements to be applied to archived shows without requiring any changes to the show content. This unique capability of the CastMetrix platform helps open new revenue streams from current advertisers on archived shows. Specialized matching algorithms in the Platform allow advertisements to be selected based on geographical market, content channel, time of day, and demographics, allowing new revenue streams from local and global advertisers.
The media platform uses industry standards for syndication using Apple iTunes and other RSS based aggregators. These syndication interfaces enable radio stations to extend the reach and penetration of their content, to emergent technologies such as iPhones, iPods, and other MP3 players.
The Radio Edition of the New Media Platform is available now as a hosted, white-label solution based on a month-to-month contract, with easy integration into existing websites. It is currently deployed by major media companies, including a premier international radio network, to distribute over 60 million downloads to listeners worldwide.
